Dear Chibi,
Jacky and I spent Saturday strolling along the beaches of Nielsen Park. Since it was Australia Day, it was really packed but we eventually found some quiet areas where we played around with Jacky’s camera :) The forecast for the day was scattered showers with chance of thunderstorms from midday… but the day went by without a single raindrop ^^; There were even times I complained there was too much sun XD Here’s some photos from the day:
Salsa Intermediate!

Dear Chibi,
Over the last two months Kaz and I have been going to Salsa beginners class every Tuesday night :) We completed the 8 week course recently and started our Intermediate course today. I’m surprised I haven’t blogged about it since mentioning my interest last year. It’s lots of fun :D! Beginners class felt a bit too easy though but it got exciting towards the end. Looking forward to learning more suave Salsa moves ^^!
On the treadmill

Dear Chibi,
Last night during our usual pre-Squash gym session, I tried out the treadmill for the first time :D I started off walking but quickly got bored so I picked up my pace. Curious to see how I compare with Kaz (who has recently been training for City2Surf), I end up going for an hour. My heart rate was averaging at 153 beats/min and peaked at 175. In the hour, I managed 7.5km and apparently burnt over 400 calories. Not sure how accurate this one is though.. 400 seems a bit much XD
It was actually good fun, surprisingly. Then again, I was excited about cycling and rowing the first time I tried them too (but got bored after 2-3 weeks XD). I’m hoping I’ll still find this fun and intend to do more running on the treadmill every Friday :)
Oh, and I still want to be able to play Squash… I couldn’t move after that run! My whole body was aching today (particular the ribs). Hope it doesn’t get worse tomorrow!

Last night I watched Titanic for the first time in my life at the IMAX Theatre in 3D. I never watched the film when it came out in 1997, but I knew about the hype and have always been meaning to see it. Lucky for me, it recently came out in cinemas again after 15 years (and remastered), so this was just the perfect opportunity! You would think after 15 years, the story would already be spoiled for me, but it wasn’t. I didn’t really know what to expect. All I knew was that it’s about a two lovers who meet on the gigantic ship which eventually sinks. That pretty much sums up the plot, but all the juicy parts come from how it happened. Everything about this film was mind-blowing amazing to me. While the CG and special effects were impressive, it was the romantic plot between the two protagonist which left the most impression on me. Such a epically romantic, tragic and thrilling tale….just love it :D
Definitely a film not to miss (If there’s still anyone else out there who hasn’t seen it XDD)

I’ve been spoiled so much this birthday :) Last night Jacky took me out for dinner at Nazimi, a nice Japanese restaurant situated next to the QVB. The food was amazing, especially the sushi… so rich in taste it makes me crazy just thinking about it :3

Today is my Chinese birthday according to my mum (well actually, the Chinese Lunar Calendar, hehe) I never quite understood the details as to why the date changes every year, but basically there are less days in the Lunar Calendar than there is in standard 365 per year. Your age also starts counting from the time of pregnancy as oppose to the date you were born.

Well, what does this mean for me? I get to celebrate my birthday twice. yaaaayyy. Turning 25 next week! OMG. yay? XD
