My recommendations:
Death Note
This anime is one not to be missed! It’s extremely clever, original and you’ll find yourself just wanting more and more… Be careful, it’ll blow you away…
Fruits Basket (Furuba)
This series is 24 episodes in length, and is very touching and meaningful. I have yet to hear anyone who has seen it and did not enjoy it. It has lots of interesting and lovable characters, a unique storyline and everything keeps you hooked. It will make you laugh and cry; for boys and girls of all ages =)
NANA
NANA simply grabbed me. This shoujo series really looks at life, love and dreams. Want to watch something more serious? Love bands? This is for you =) Be warned though… it can get very depressing! (such is life XD)
Gravitation
Want to watch something a little different? Gravitation is a shounen-ai series, in other words, it deals with a guy x guy relationship. Some people may not be comfortable by the sound of that, but honestly, I found the series rather cute ^^; At first I wasn’t sure about seeing it, but I’m glad I did because it quickly became one of my favourite. It contains 13 episodes of breathtaking and suspenseful plot, not only dealing with the gay relationship between the main characters, but it actually has a story! lol The characters here are mainly male, but they’re all so hot you just want to melt when you see them ^^ This is of course, referring to the girls. I wouldn’t say there’s actual adult material, the most you’ll see is two guys kissing… two anime guys. Anyhow, that all being said, check it out sometime ^_~
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (Live Action)
I’d say the Sailor Moon Live Action series turned out very successful :) With only 49 Acts + 2 specials, the drama has taken elements from both the anime and manga and implemented it into something new. It has a pretty cast (most if not all being models in Japan), nice costumes, an interesting storyline; and great music and effects- something you just don’t want to miss! Nice and enjoyable while sitting back and relaxing. I haven’t heard anyone dislike this drama, not even from guys! ^^
