  • A Gold Coast Christmas

    December 28th, 2009

    Dear Chibi,

I’m back from the Gold Coast :D! I arrived home 5.45am this morning, took a nice long shower, started unpacking a bit and here I am! I really should go get some sleep, but I feel like writing this up before I forget. I didn’t end up taking many photos, so hopefully having it in words is a passable substitute! (Woah..why is the weather so dark and gloomy in Sydney? o_o)

The trip turned out pretty good, amazing actually! I was unsure about the 11 hour drive but it wasn’t too bad- after a few naps and several stops, we’re pretty much there. Jacky picked me up at 10.30pm, and we arrived at the Gold Coast the next early morning. We weren’t going to check-in until 1pm, so we thought we may as well head to the beach. It was gloomy and it started pouring when we got out, lol. There goes that idea. We decided to try our luck and see if they can let us check-in earlier. When we started heading to the apartment it was all nice and sunshine again, XD. Despite the rainy forecast, the weather was quite nice to us. For the 3 days we were here, it really only rained in the very early hours and cleared up when we headed out.

We successfully checked-in and after unpacking a bit, we headed back to Surfers Paradise for some beaching. I played with the waves for a bit to cool down but tried to stay covered most of the time. *hides under a towel* XD

    1 Day to Christmas!

    December 24th, 2009

    Dear Chibi,

Soooo..one more day till Christmas :) This year I’ll be spending it in the Gold Coast with Jacky’s family. This will be my first time not spending it with my family, but I’m sure it will be a lot of fun :) I hope I don’t get tanned/burnt though!!! (Note to self: Apply lots of sunscreen!)

I’m currently at work finishing off bits and pieces before the 4 day long weekend. Most people would be taking leave and be back after the New Year but I’ve decided to just work through it. Hey, I still get a 4 day weekend, and then a 3 day weekend during New Year which is pretty cool :D

I’ve also recently changed desks in the office which I quite like :D Maybe I’ll post a picture of it here some time :)

Anyways, I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy happy holiday :)

    Love you!

    Office Xmas Party 2009

    December 15th, 2009

    Dear Chibi,
Last Friday was our Office Xmas Party, which like the previous year consisted of pre-dinner snacks/drinks, Secret Santa,  followed by dinner at The Tilbury @Woolloomooloo :D Yay, free food XD!

    Back from Hong Kong-China

    December 7th, 2009

    Dear Chibi,

Yesterday morning Jacky picked me up from the airport- I’m home sweet home- Did you miss me? ^.^ I came back feeling a bit sick from the plane ride but overall the trip was pretty enjoyable :) I felt like a zombie, suffering from fatigue, jet lag and overall tiredness. I haven’t unpacked yet, everything is still in the luggage. I should start unpacking it sometime, shouldn’t I? hehe.

It is the strangest feeling being back in Sydney! It’s been almost 2 days now, and I still think I’m in some kind of dream.. Ah, the beautiful clear sky, the quiet streets.. no more dust storms everyday, noisy motorbikes, crowded streets and toilets without any paper :) My bedroom suddenly looks sooo pretty and cute XD ahaha? I went to work today, feeling like I haven’t been there in months. I suddenly realised how relaxing my work can be and how much I enjoy it :) It felt really fresh- I think holidays have brainwashing powers XD My collegues are saying they need a holiday, and I thought ‘not really?’ I forgot I just came back from one, so that’s probably why, haha!

Boy, is it hot over here! I heard it reached around 40 degrees while I was away. The temperature was quite nice over there, not hot and not too cool :) People in Hong Kong can’t handle coolness very well… I was there in a T-shirt, and people were dressed for the snows or something ^^; I felt a bit out of place lol.

    Cousin’s Wedding in China

I attended my lovely cousin’s wedding and I must say it was a very interesting experience. It was different, fun, boring, and exciting all mixed together XD This is my second wedding I’ve ever attended, and I was privileged to be the bridesmaid. She was looking for someone young and unwed- and I was..well both  XD She’s in her early 30s, but apparently that’s considered old in China.
