Yesterday the cofa gang dressed up (well…tried to) as Asian FOBs for Emily’s 22nd Birthday! Most were confused by the term and everyone came according to their own interpretation of the theme ^_^ Good effort everyone! The results were…interesting…XD

Short and sweet ~ Just for you.

Dear Chibi,
I just came back from a 3 day ski trip at Perisher!! It was quite an experience :D

The last (and first) time I went to the snows was in 2006. It doesn’t feel like that long ago because I remember it quite well but back then I wasn’t even going out with Jacky..so.. yeah, it has been a little while XD This time, instead of going with a tour, we decided to go on our own with Jacky doing the organising and driving :D

On Thursday night after work, Mark and I met up with MZ and Burpy at Jacky’s place at about 11pm. The drive can take about 5-6 hours so we started our journey at about 12am to get there by morning. We picked up Somps along the way and dropped by a few petrol stations to take little breaks. It was freeezing outside, lol. We had breakfast at about 4am at Maccas but it was still fairly dark. We took little naps along the way and before we knew it, the sun was out! We got our accommodation/vouchers sorted and our equipment hired.  They gave me a pretty pink jacket, oh yay XD It just conveniently matched my pink beanie, pink scarf and pink sunnies.

Dear Chibi,

Jacky bought tickets to see *MAGIC* with David Copperfield -”An Intimate Evening of Grand Illusion“  at the Acer Arena, Sydney Olympic Park :}

I’ve never been to a magic show before and I love magic, so I was very thrilled and excited! I must admit though I had no idea who David Copperfield was until Jacky told me about it ^^; He is one awesome magician!  No flying, but he did do some amazing tricks which still leaves me pondering and pondering XD A whole car suddenly appeared on stage out of no where, sitting on some poles in the air O___o Then there’s one where 13 people sitting on the stage suddenly all disappeared in a flash and ended up at the back of the room…..WWWHHHAAA??? XD It’s amazing! Every trick he performs seems a bit suspiciuous though~ or maybe I’m just skeptical.I keep wondering where the strings are attached and where he secretly makes his escape from concealed boxes XD There was one performance where I just couldn’t believe my eyes- I thought I was watching a movie with 3D animation! There were DANCING TIES in the middle of the air, moving along with the music @____@ I keep thinking I see strings attached to them like a puppet, but then I don’t know if I really see the strings, or if it’s just my imagination- that’s when it gets confusing!

Seeing is believing…? Yeah. XD I don’t mind if I never find out how he does it, because that makes it special and mysterious =)

No photography was allowed, but here’s a pic I took before the show started :} This is the view we got- pretty good seats!!

Copperfield was also very entertaining- he sure knows how to keep his audience entertained. Ah, will never forget this performance ^_^

Is it my imagination or have I already posted pics of my workspace @_@? I keep thinking I have, yet I think I haven’t XD

Anyways, today I got a brand new toy to play with so I thought I might as well share some pics taken with my phone  :)
What is it…? It is no other than a Mac Pro! I believe I’m the only one with a Mac Pro in the office….OH I’M SO SPECIAL XD. I don’t know the exact details of it, but hear it cost about $8k. I’ve never been a real user of apple products, but I’ve heard many good things. Today, it’s finally set up and I also got the Adobe CS4 Collection- I did a quick test run with After Effects and wow… It’s so fast!!! XD XD XD This is a beauty.
I’m not a proficient Mac user yet though… spent most of my day trying to get use to all the new short keys and stuff, ahah. Hopefully I’ll be able to get around things easier and quicker soon.

..And here’s my desk. You can see my name tag at the back ^^. I end up using my old mouse since the new one was wireless and was lagging behind things. On the top right you can see a goat and some flower things which belong to another workmate. She lent them to me to decorate my desk. I keep saying I’ll bring some stuff to decorate my table, but I can’t be bothered XD There’s a Wonder Women figure sitting there too. It’s my little “Above and beyond trophy”- I got from the last staff meeting. Every few months it gets awarded to another staff member.  On the bottom right is my little desk calendar with daily quotes, those are always fun to read.

And that’s about it! It would be interesting to see what other workstations look like ^_^

Yesterday MZ invited us over to his place to play again :D yayay. Jacky, Ray and I got there around 5pm and started playing around with Ray’s awesome SLR camera (obviously not the photos you see here from my 8MP ^^) And of course, the boys were hooked on their games.
