I bought a Eve Angel sketch book back in 1999 when I was in Year 7, when cute things like Korean stickers and diaries were getting popular. Back in those days we seem to just buy things even though there’s no particular use for them (i.e we’d collect stickers and swap diary refills etc but never use any of them anyway) Well, at least the book had a purpose =) Some of my early Sailor Moon drawings have still been kept because of it, and so I’m glad I did use it. All the above drawings were copied off existing Sailor Moon pictures, as I was still learning to draw and copying was the easiest method. I also realised that I had drawn a lot of Chibiusa/Sailor Chibimoon drawings o_o- and now I don’t really draw any. Was she my favourite character back then or something? XD

haha, anyways- it was fun looking back at them. I wish I had kept even earlier pictures… even if they probably looked really bad.

Happy Birthday Markos and Dear Chibi

    June 21st, 2008

    Dear Chibi,

Markos turns 22 and Dear Chibi turns 2 today =)

    yay *goes to celebrate*

    Running towards something or nothing

    June 20th, 2008

    Dear Chibi,

I decided to cheer my workmate on and sponsor the team participating in the City2Surf Charity Challenge.

I suddenly remembered when I was in Year 4..we had to go around asking people to sponsor us for the Cross country- we didn’t get the money, it went towards something else (can’t remember what). My sister and I went knocking around the neighbourhood asking for donations and to our surprise there were quite a few nice people. Our family contributed to it too and in the end we got quite a decent amount so we were happy. Being twins, both Kerry and I obtained the same amount but we handed in the money to our own teachers. This is the sad part. After handing in the money and form in an envelope to my Year 4 teacher Ms Hewson, she denied ever receiving the payments from me!!! I can’t believe her =(

The school awarded canteen vouchers to the top 3 students who raised the most money…Kerry being one of them. Having raised the same amount, I got nothing and was accused of lying too.

That was really frustrating.. and there was no way I could prove to people that my teacher had taken the money for herself.

I guess the truth in some things in life just never come out.

    Watching June

    June 18th, 2008

    Dear Chibi,

    *looks out the window*
    yay, no rain today..yet :)

The last few weeks I watched Iron Man and Indiana Jones and still contemplating if I should see KungFu Panda and Narnia: Prince Caspian..hmm. Should I? Should I?

This month seems to be flying pretty quickly. 6 days ago was Chibi Land’s Anniversary and I’ve been working on some updates on it since I haven’t done much for it the past couple of months. It’s fun to go back to old things sometimes :) Actually, lately I’ve been listening to some Sailor Moon music and they’re just..wonderful XD. WONDERFUL. Here’s something everyone should be familiar with: Moonlight Densetsu (have a listen!)

    zettaikareshi.jpg

I’ve been following the Japanese Live Action drama of Zettai Kareshi (Absolute Boyfriend), and it’s almost ending. I was disappointed with the first 7 episodes (and there’s only 10 total XD) – but episode 8 was pretty good (about time!!) I still believe the manga is like 1000x better though, but I’ll finish the series anyway :)

I’ve started watching the Japanese Live Action of Nodame Cantabile, and it’s pretty funny at the moment. I’ve also got the anime sitting around… wonder which is better, or which I should watch first? hmm.. M12? XD

Should I mention.. Hana Yori Dango, live action drama? haha… why is there so many Japanese live actions based off manga these days? It sure seems to be the trend. It would be so cool to have a Inuyasha live action! :3 Only if it was done extremely well though… and Inuyasha has to be hot X3 hehehee… Speaking of good looking male characters, I recently revealed to Jacky my favourite male character from Sailor Moon, and his response was..’isn’t that a girl??’ XD Yes, Chibi also likes feminine looking guys (in anime. *cough*) Nope, it’s not our dear Tuxedo Mask, but Helios! <3 wheeeeee…… X3 Helios is the best!

    Alrighty, enough of fan-girling!

    The third person

    June 10th, 2008

    Dear Chibi,
Jennifer thinks speaking in third-person is normal sometimes.. so normal that she assumes others also speak in third person. However, it wasn’t the case for a specific scenario.

For example, yesterday when I arrived at the Monastry to make some photocopies, Venerable commented “Jennifer didn’t receive any replies so far”. I nodded in agreement “Yeah..” while turning to the next page to copy. “So, where’s your sister? In the car again?” she asked. ‘Yeah, she doesn’t have any photocopies today” I replied.

“So, are you planning to teach for the next couple of weeks?” she continued.
    “Yeah, probably..”
“How long will the Year 12 class be running for?”
“I’m not sure, you have to ask Kerry.”

    “Aren’t you Kerry?”

    … I’m Jennifer.

“OH! I thought you were Kerry! You’re looking more and more alike each day! hahaha!”

    XD Damn.

I didn’t even realise anything was wrong when she said “Jennifer didn’t…”

or even “Where’s your sister? In the car again?” When I was always the one waiting in the car.

It gets a little tricky when questions apply to both of us conveniently.
    I can’t believe I didn’t see this one coming ._.

    Early Birthday Present

    June 7th, 2008

    Dear Chibi,

The 12.06.08 marks CHIBI LAND’s 7th Year Anniversary =) I decided to make an earlier post on it incase I don’t get the chance to in 5 days time.

Here’s a shameless present I made for MYSELF =D haha!

    7th_chibiland_small.jpg
    aww.. it’s 7 already ;_;
Recently I’ve also decided to redraw all the chibis on the site to give it all a bit of an update, since my drawings have improved since. However, it’ll probably come slowly….seeing as I can’t seem to be focused on doing one thing.

    Back with the computer.

    June 1st, 2008

    Dear Chibi,

My computer hasn’t been working for the past week, because someone *coughKcough* brought a virus along to my computer. She is now officially banned from using/touching my computer. It may seem harsh, but who could blame me? First time my monitor got burnt, and now this x_x
It’s great to have it back now >.< Jacky helped me backup my files from my Hard Drive (luckily) and formatted the computer. But yes, it took quite some time to get everything running again like the old days. There’s so many things to install!
It felt really weird for the last couple of days, I wasn’t sure what to do with myself. I remember sleeping early… and that’s about it. Pretty unproductive if you ask me. Oh oh, I started making my toy =) I spent some time in Spotlight trying to find all the materials and gosh fabric can get so expensive! Wish I bought some from Cabra the last time I was there… I finished sewing the ears but it’s kinda ugly ._. I think the sewing machine is the better option, hand stitching takes a lot of time and requires much more skills (the ears end up a little wonky XD) But it was still an interesting experience… Once I get the chance to get the sewing machine working, I can sew the body together.
