    March 30th, 2008

    Dear Chibi,

Yesterday, after what I believe has been 10 years since I last went.. I went to the Royal Easter Show =D yayayayayay. I was looking forward to it this time cause it was going to be my first time with Jacky ^^ I’m glad we didn’t go the previous week like we originally planned because Saturday’s weather was just right!

As expected, there were a lot of people which added to the atmosphere =) I think we pretty much went to all the sections, checking out the Woolworths Fresh Food Dome, the Fashion, Lifestyle and Shopping, the Flower & Garden Show, the Arts Pavilion and the list goes on. Oh, and of course we can’t miss out on the animals!! I loved them.. and was extremely excited upon seeing them XD I’m pretty sure this isn’t the first time I’ve seen farm animals.. but it’s been a long time. I loved the yellow ducklings and the baby pigs! The other animals like the bulls and cows were so fat and big! lol.

The three little pig’s houses XD So cute..

    fruit.jpg

I kept asking “Are these fruit real??”

    duckling.jpg

    aww…ducklings!

    donkey.jpg

yay, donkey! Though this one isn’t as energetic. lol

    chicken.jpg

    *poke*

    bulls.jpg

    Fat ones..I think they’re bulls?

Another big thing in the Easter Show are the Show bags.ah.. If I was still a little kid I think I’d go mad with all the chocolate and lollies they had T.T That’s what dominates the bags, hahaa… but yeah, I know I’ve just had too much chocolate this easter! Jacky bought me the Moove Show bag, which is possibly the one with the best value. Useful things I tell you, and that cow hat did a fine job getting my face out of the sun =) I got also bought Mark a One Piece show bag which he really liked so yay. Other show bags were too kiddo-ish, hehee…

Towards the end of the day we checked out the Rides and Carnival section. It gives me much satisfaction just walking down and hearing people scream XD Some of those rides look sooo freaky!! T’is a shame my heart is too weak for that XD haha..

Just when we arrived at the Olympic Park station to head back, it started raining! Phew, good timing =) ..our legs were pretty tired after the day and got home around 7 in time for dinner. Mark’s friends Eugene and Shane joined us for dinner and by 8′oclock….all lights out! It was the earth hour! We did it last year as well and it was pretty fun doing it again. Candles look nice in the dark =)

    windy-goddess.net new design

    March 23rd, 2008

    Dear Chibi,

yay! My new layout for windy-goddess.net is finished, online and running =) I’ve been itching to change it for a while as I was never completely satisfied with the old one. I spent a few hours on it over the past 3 days, and I’m glad the server was up this morning! The windy-goddess.net domain was practically down all of yesterday. Well, what ya waiting for? Please check it out, and oh, do tell me if you come up with errors or if the site looks out of whack on your browser- though it should all be cool. *fingers crossed for old I.E browsers*

    Don’t like the eyes.

    March 19th, 2008

    Dear Chibi,

Yesterday after work, Jacky, Oyster-san and I had dinner at Ramen Kan just for a bit of catching up and all.
Afterwards we went to see “The Eye” and I must say it was a lot creepier than I thought it would be.

What a terrible movie! It was predictable throughout- the same thing kept happening for about an hour.. yet, it scared chibi every time! Oh wait.. doesn’t that say something about me rather than the movie…? *looks around* I rate it around 2/5…2 is for scaring me (but that doesn’t mean much cause I get freaked out by anything, really). I would say the level of freakiness is about the same as when I watched “Dark Water” with my uni buddies a few years back- so I guess no one other than me actually found this scary… Jacky and Oyster-san was giggling at me >_< Apparently I skipped the freakiest part of the movie cause I was too scared and just covered my eyes for a while, lol. No more “horror”! It was a little difficult getting through the night (even this morning)- when parts of the movie kept popping up in my head. But then I knew who I’d rather be thinking about and that made it easier =)

    Now- disappear! Now I can move on…. I hope. ^^;

    Dear Chibi, from the Past

    March 17th, 2008

    Dear Chibi,

I’ve stumbled upon a site a few years ago and was recently reminded of it. It’s a pretty nifty idea writing to yourself (or to someone else) of the future. I can’t remember what I’ve written back then, but I think I set it to be sent in 10 years time. I think it’s not hard to think I’ll still be using my lovely [chibi]jennifer [at] hotmail account, lol. I’ve already been using it for 8 years!

What would you tell your future self?

I tried writing another one, and find it somewhat scary. It’s hard to tell what you’d be doing in many years from now- but at least it’ll remind you of the things you wanted in the past. Some things can be rather amusing =)

Here’s something someone wrote to themself:

    ” Dear FutureMe,

You better have fucking done something worthwhile, if you’re not rich then you have no fucking excuse. If you are, good job, you got everything you ever wanted.

(written Mon Dec 5, 2005, to be delivered Sun Apr 5, 2009)

lol. Reminds me of something Burpy would say ^^; *cough*

Well, if this interests you, try it out: futureme.org

    Game, Movie and Gamble

    March 10th, 2008

    Dear Chibi,

On Saturday Jacky came over and played the Wii with my bro, and I shortly joined them in Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games. That was so awesome ^^ I liked the trampoline one best, although I’m much inferior to both of them in most games (especially the shooting one, omg I can’t aim! XD) I think I’ll get the hang of it once I play more though.

Afterwards Mr Vacuum Cleaner came along to make my computer all nice and pretty =D I’ll be sure to get him to come again, cause he did a pretty good job. 5/5

In the evening, we went to have dinner at Burwood before driving to the city to watch CJ7, written, produced and directed by Stephen Chow. It was very cute.. very very cute, so much that I was squealing half the time X3 I think it’s a bit much- perhaps even an overkill with cuteness, ahaha. Some parts were quite funny, but as a whole I think his previous films were better. The film was a bit short and I would have liked to see Stephen Chow more on screen. Still enjoyable.

Yesterday I headed to his place for a good day of mahjong! It’s actually my first time playing it at his place, but it didn’t affect my winning luck and skill =p Also to join the table were Somps and MZ, who were both rather curious and new to the game. It wasn’t MZ’s first time though, I tried teaching him last Xmas when he came to my place, but because of my bro (and his JAPANESE mahjong rules)- it got rather confusing for him, so he was still a bit lost at the end of it. I feel guilty for the lack of assistance given to him, so here’s a start over! Playing mahjong does require quite a lot of practice and time to get use to- especially remembering what to actually say and knowing what those Chinese characters mean. Both MZ and Somps can’t read Chinese, so we started off with the basic numbers 1-9.

    I’m amazed. Somps is a realllly quick learner! MZ doesn’t mind being owned by Somps XD To make it more even, Jacky and I played with ‘minimum fan of 3 points’ and the other two can play ‘Chicken rule‘- Somps won like.. 4 times in a row or something- we should make her play our rules! lol. MZ is getting there! He was just distracted cause he knew someone was at home waiting for him in his room…sleeping ^^;
It was a lot of fun ^_^ Let’s do this again sometime!

    March 6th, 2008

    Dear Chibi,

It feels like forever since I first heard about this film! I’m really anticipating it though… Jackie Chan and Jet Li in a film together, not forgetting to mention pretty Liu Yi Fei XD I hope it’ll be good..the trailers looked good at least.

    The Japanese Experience. Final

    March 3rd, 2008

    Dear Chibi,

I’ve reached Part 3 of the Japan Experience! There’s really only 2 more places I want to blog about, one being Tokyo’s Disneyland =) Previously I’ve only been to the one in Hong Kong and thought it was a bit small but still good. This one is MASSIVE. We spent a whole day there and still couldn’t get around to all 7 lands. There were a lot of people that day too and it wasn’t a weekend or any special day. According to the tour guide, it’s only 1/4 amount of the usual.

    disneyland.jpg

In total, we went on about 10 rides/shows which I thought were mostly very amusing. I loved Fantasyland..Peter Pan’s Flight was magical! OMG I feel like I’m in a dream- flying over London’s night city on a boat. I can’t put any rides properly into words.. you just have to experience it for yourself! It’s also hard (or impossible) to take pictures while on the rides too.

    princesses.jpg

Snow White & Prince Charming, Sleeping Beauty & Prince Charming, Bell and..Prince Charming XD I think they have names @.@ lol.

I loved all the princesses anyway, so preeetty @.@

    buzz.jpg balloons.jpg

    dance.jpg dance2.jpg

    I liked the performances too. They’re quite..good.. @.@

And of course we can’t leave Disneyland without pics of the mascots/characters! In HK Disneyland I didn’t get a chance to see the “people”. I must say they’re so awesome, lol.

    cinderella.jpg

Cinderella and Prince Charming. They speak reeeaaallly slowly in English ^^ They look almost plastic! ahaha. That is so cool.
    “Hello Mr Prince!”
“Hello young lady how are you today?”

teehee. I like how he grins.

    alice.jpg

Alice! It must be the blue contacts cause woah..her eyes are like.. mezmermising! XD

    “Hello Alice!”
    “Oh! Where are yooouu from?”
    “Sydney!”
*blinks* “Oh wow! You’re from Austraaallia!”

    Man, this Alice seems so in-character it amazes me. After we took pics, we extended our arms out for a hand shake, and I accidentally shocked her ^^;;

    My reaction: ow~ *slightly jump*
    Her reaction:

*blinks twice* “Oh, my” *giggles* Isn’t that funny? *giggles* (in a really cute voice too >< )

    donald.jpg
Donald Duck. Cute and short X3

    mickey.jpg

The star of the day. I felt bad for all those other misc characters no one seemed to wanna hang with ^^; We took pics with the randoms too cause we felt sorry for them.

    scary.jpg

    He looks kinda creepy ^^;

    night.jpg

..And.. that’s goodbye to Disneyland.. ;_; I had a great time.

On the final day we visited a Japanese shrine! It’s beautiful =)

    shrine.jpg

    schoolgirls.jpg

    Possibly the only picture we took of Japanese school girls. They got really excited upon seeing us and all yelled out “NI HAO!!” very enthusiastically ^^;;

    holywater.jpg

We drank water from this pond which purifies the soul.

    luckcharms.jpg

    All sorts of Luck Charms

    fortune.jpg

Me testing my luck/fortune… I end up getting stick no.11. BEST FORTUNE.

“You can get both treasure and dignity. Your family business will be really prosperous. Your skill will extremely develop and will be well-known to the people even in the capital. Shooting arrows to the sky brings you big game. You are happy as mentioned above, you can also get help and assistance of gods.

Your wishes will be realised. A sick person will recover. The lost article will be found. The person you are waiting for will come. Building and removal are good. Making a trip is all right. Marriage and employment are all good.”

Wow. I’ve never heard such good fortune before ^_^; Oh wells, I’m not complaining, it makes me happy =) Kazzy on the other hand happened to get the “WORSE FORTUNE” ~.~ Essentially it’s everything mentioned above but the opposite. She got pretty paranoid after reading it too. There’s only 8 out of the hundred sticks that is really bad.

    temples.jpg

    temple2.jpg

    cherry.jpg

    And some Cherry Blossoms…

This trip was definitely a lot of  fun and seeing bits of anime come to life is a pretty cool experience =) The culture is interesting, and it’s fun to use some basic conversational Japanese learnt from High School and anime XD I would love to come back here sometime in the future and visit more cities! Going with a tour has its pros and cons, there’s always limitations on what and how much you get to see. There’s still quite a bit of quirky bits and funny stories about Japan which I may or may not end up talking about in person~ who knows? Maybe I’ll randomly share, hehee.
