  • Somps’s 20th Bday Party

    January 27th, 2007

Wah, I woke up with a headache
    Dear Chibi,

Yesterday we traveled all the way to Campbelltown (thanks to Jacky) to celebrate our Somp’s 20th Birthday! It was my first time visiting her place as well as her siblings; she’s got quite a nice place there too. Somps was gorgeous last night and everyone from Uni showed up; Jacky, MZ, Burpy, Ray, Haliil, Flora, Emily, Marcus and Matt; her HS friends, as well as “suspicious guy” Fred, teehee. It was a lovely evening where we sat around chatting, eating and enjoying each other’s company.

After awhile, about 10 of us started playing Poker which was rather fun, haha. I was somewhat lucky winning the first go and earned myself a lot of chips.. so that gave me more incentive to follow on the other games (a lot of people fold). Soon after we had the Birthday cake (cool! I’m not the only one who still puts that many candles on the cake) and played many rounds of Big 2. Jacky, Burpy, Borin and I played in a weird-ish way..that’s what I found anyway. Since when in Big 2 do we all go aggressive and throw out all the best cards wherever possible (even if it means having a hand left with crappy cards =p) Anyways, Borin was crazy but Burpy was not bad either. I think my luck ran out for the day… earlier on I was playing Mahjong at home and won a lot. (Note: I don’t gamble =p)

I’m not sure when we started leaving, but I end up getting home around 3am in the morning… probably would have got home slightly earlier if I was a better navigator, hehehheeeeee. Anyways I had a good time. Thanks for having us over Somps! Thanks for the lift Jacky!

yay, a New computer for chibi

    January 24th, 2007

    Dear Chibi,

Yesterday with the help from Markos, Kaz and Mum, I finally got myself a new computer! =D However, I owe the BIGGEST ‘Thank YOU’ to Kazzy’s BF, thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! He did all the driving around, getting all the parts needed and put them together for me (he even skipped work to do it) So yay, I’m happy ^^ Now I won’t have to share a computer at home ever again! It’s all mine! XD A lovely 22 inch *hugs the wide screen* haha.

After playing a few rounds of Mahjong (which I did pretty well in) we played Multiplayer Broodwars with the 4 computers we now have. The oldest one got moved to Marko’s place. That was fun too. Alright, now I’m off to customize my new friend.

    Not prepared

    January 23rd, 2007

    Dear Chibi,

My Great Granny (aged 104) came to sleep over at my place for the week. Last night before I went to bed, she started talking a lot to herself. I asked her what was wrong and she kept saying her time was coming to an end. I don’t know what to think of it, and I don’t really want to think about it- but I feel a bit sad. I don’t think I’ll be prepared when she does leave us one day. It’s all part of the life cycle, to live a life and eventually disappear, yet still…

    fishy day

    January 22nd, 2007

    Dear Chibi,

Today I went to check out the Fish Market since I’ve never been there before, and boy was the seafood yummy! A bit pricey but I guess its the location and freshness of it that makes up for it. Aunty is going back overseas soon so my parents decided to take her there, and grab Kaz and I along too. The weather is still pretty hot, but not as crazy as last night.. had to turn on 2 aircons in the house (sadly none are in front of the computer XD) Speaking of computers…wooty! haha.. that’s all I can say for now.

I’m gonna have to go on some intensive driving training o_o; Dad booked the Ps test for early March~ I really gotta work hard!

    Matty’s 21st Bday Party

    January 21st, 2007

    Dear Chibi,

Last night I travelled to Penrith (thanks to Michael) to celebrate Matty’s 21st Birthday. A lot of people were there already and a few beer bottles on the ground. Towards the middle of the night, there were A LOT of empty bottles! We mainly sat in the backyard on chairs, chatting, eating and well..drinking!  People from Cofa included; Michael, Somps, Jacky (I gained $2!), Burpy, Halil, Belinda and myself (Somps brought Catherine along who I found was very amusing XD) I think the overall atmosphere was very lively and I enjoyed the night very much. (Who says you need alcohol to have a good time? =p)
Being located all the way up North West, the stars were so pretty! You don’t get that much where I live, haha. We left around 1ish and ended up at home 2ish!
Hope Matt had a wonderful time ^_^

    observatory visit and look-alikes

    January 18th, 2007

    Dear Chibi,

Today Alan came over in the afternoon to Play Broodwars Multiplayer with Kaz, my bro and I. After he left, Kaz and I went to meet up with the others to go to an Observatory Visit. Some old faces (Jessie, Jojo, Richard, Brian) but many were new faces; Raymond, Tracey, Mandy, Yu, Nicko, Michael, Abraham, CJ etc (or so I thought!) First we went to eat Dinner at the Australian Hotel, had Kangaroo and Emu Pizza (which taste…a bit weird XD) Now, it was when we were all sitting at the table I noticed something unusual…

First of all Raymond (new guy) looks just like Raymond (cofa buddy)! Yu looked like the actress for Hachi in Nana the Movie, Tracey looked like a mix of Steven Ma and my cousin, but most scary of all… Michael (new guy) looked exactly like Marcus on side view! Omg, so scary that someone can look so alike.

After the dinner we went to look at stars at the Sydney Observatory… I saw a comet! Felt a great sense of dejavu, probably because I’ve seen something similar before.
Finally on my train ride home, we were companied by Marcel- who I thought I’ve met before but it turns out he doesnt know me! Why? I met his twin brother before, not him, lol.

Just wanted to mention something about today… I found it very amusing. I think someone (I won’t mention name) suddenly became my sister’s boyfriend =p He called her numerous times throughout the whole day to chat, including at 11pm asking if she needs to be picked up XD

*cough* I am assuming he won’t be reading this blog…

    Expressing love…..for Sailor Moon!

    January 17th, 2007

    Dear Chibi,

I just wanted to tell the world how much I love the anime series Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon. Truly, a classic. I started knowing about it when I was in primary, it use to be dubbed in English on Agro’s Cartoon Connection in Australia. I loved it without hesitation. Perhaps I was drawn towards the unique style of anime, but I don’t think that was it. I started watching in 1996, and finally finished the series in 2001. It use to be quite difficult getting hold of the anime, and I would rent it at video stores and so forth in order to get to watch all the seasons and movies. With the internet today, you can essentially get hold of anything if you really tried. I admit, I’ve watched Sailor Moon over and over again in my younger days, probably over 50 times. I’m not sure if I’ve exaggerated (didn’t count), but even if I did- it wouldn’t be far off. So maybe it’s my liking for anime in general, and yet when I watch anime these days they simply can’t replace it. Even today, when I watch a few episodes, or even a few clips from the series and I’m totally in love with it again. It’s magical XD

Some people say it’s childish to watch/like Sailor Moon, including my cousin. She told me that she bet I’d be over it once I reach High School (when I was in Primary)- that obviously didn’t happen. Then it was “you’d be over it once you get to Uni” and still- no. And so, it’s been 11 years since I first knew about it, and now the series is 15 years old. I want to thank Takeuchi Naoko for creating Sailor Moon, it’s also because of her that I got interested in drawing.

Sometimes I wonder what I’d be interested in if I hadn’t known/watched it.

    Unusually different dream

    January 16th, 2007

    Dear Chibi,

Last night I had a very unusual dream, it just felt really different to my usual ones. It started off with my family on a tour group to Korea, but somehow it turned to Japan (Note: It looked nothing like Korea or Japan). We travelled by sea. I met a few interesting people, including a girl who was really, I donno… mean? I just remembered she didn’t like me very much. Yea, that was random. Anyway, there was one part where we had to go in little groups in the lift. It kept going down, getting darker and darker until I couldn’t see anyone. Suddenly I saw a life size “Angel” from Evangelion (huge..machine-robot)…man, I was so scared, I just kept screaming. We end up being in a laboratory, and the tour guy said it is for experimental purposes. I started getting hungry, and the other girl yelled at me for wanting to eat a sandwich (what’s her problem? XD)

I can’t remember what happened in the middle, but at the end, we had to “escape” the building in order to leave by means of jumping off a REALLY high platform down onto the Ocean. Yes, this building was in the middle of the ocean. Obviously I would be scared, how can they expect me to just jump into the Ocean? For one, I’m reallllly bad with heights, I just told myself I couldn’t do it, I didn’t want to let go and fall down. Secondly, I can’t swim, that’s a fact- if I jumped down, I’d drown for sure. Some people from the tour were already in the water. They told me to trust them and that they will catch me when I fall. The girl I mentioned earlier was also in the water. After A LOT of consideration, I let go and jumped into the Ocean…

Did I drown and die? While I was falling into the ocean, I wasn’t scared at all… so strange, I actually did trust them to catch me. I guess I made it alive at the end, and the girl was one of those people who did grab onto me.

Why is this dream unusually different? Its because I actually overcame a few fears because I trusted in others.. and they didn’t let me down. It felt really nice…
